The V rod(s) should be replaced with the factory approved replacement units. Incidentally, it will take time to supply all the factory approved replacement units, and therefore as a temporary measure, the V rods should be inspected, and if there is abnormality, the replacements should be carried out, and otherwise, they should be done at later date.

Correction:
For the ball joint on the mid section of the V rod that secures the rear axle of 4-bag type air spring suspension to the frame, (1) some of the nuts are not tightened sufficiently, and therefore, they can become loose and fall off due to vibration during driving and the load. (2) water can enter the inside of the ball joint causing rust due to inadequate waterproofing, and the rust can cause the resin bearing to wear, which could create excessive play. If either of these problems is left unattended, the axle may come off the V rod, in which case, the axle can move sideways, adversely affecting steering stability or the tyres (wheels) can come in contact with the vehicle body, resulting in a fire.
