The fulcrums of the open/close levers of the rear door outer handles may not be caulked properly, and these levers may not go back to the right position when the door is closed, in which case the latches will not be fully secured. Such unsecured latches may separate from the strikers due to vibration during driving etc., and in the worst case the doors could open while driving. This problem was submitted on 6the July 2005 as RJ-1462-0, but not all the vehicles with the problem were reported at the time. This recall is to cover longer manufacturing period and include more vehicles than RJ-1462-0.
