On certain vehicles, the chassis electrical harness under the cabin may interfere with the engine harness bracket, because it is not properly routed. If this problem is left unattended, vibration from driving may cause a short circuit in the wiring resulting in a blown fuse, or the wiring to break. Either of these could in the worst case cause the speedometer, or the direction indicators and the hazard lights to fail.

Correction: 
The space between the chassis electrical harness and the engine harness bracket should be checked, and if it is below the specified level, adequate space should be allocated by adjusting the position of the clamp. If this is difficult to do, the chassis harness bracket should be replaced with the factory approved replacement unit. If the chassis harness is damaged, it should be repaired.
