On certain vehicles, the nut that secures the braking pedal stop adjustment nut is not properly tightened, and these nuts may loosen. If this problem is left unattended, the play of the parking brake pedal may increase, and in the worst case, the securing nut would come off, which would cause the parking brake to fail.

The securing nut should be checked for tightness, and if it is loose, it should be tightened to the specified torque
