(1) For heavy trucks, on certain vehicles, the fuel hoses between the engine and the fuel filter may interfere with the hose for the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) system due to engine vibration etc., as they are not properly installed. If this problem is left unattended, the fuel hoses or the EGR hose may puncture, and in the worst case, fuel could leak, in which case the exhaust gas could exceed the regulatory standards. (2) For heavy trucks, the clamp that secures the fuel hoses between the engine and the fuel filter do not have sufficient strength, and they may deform, crack and/or break from engine vibration etc. If this occurs, the clamp and the fuel hoses, the fuel hoses themselves, and/or the fuel hoses and the EGR hose may interfere with each other. If such interference continues, the fuel hoses and/or the EGR hose may puncture, and in the worst case, fuel could leak and/or the exhaust gas could exceed the regulatory standards.
