For compressed natural gas (CNG) vehicles, the electrical wiring of the engine control unit is not properly routed, and therefore, there is a risk that a part of the wiring sheath will be gone due to the heat from the exhaust pipe. If this occurs, in the worst case, it may lead to a short circuit between the wires, in which case the engine would stop and would not restart.

Correction:
The heat shield sheath should be added to the electrical wiring, and the hand clips should be replaced with the factory approved replacement units. In addition, if the electrical wiring is damaged, it should be replaced with the factory approved replacement unit. Also, as a cautionary measure, the heat shield sheath should be added to the relief valve hose to the CNG pressure reducing valve.
