RJ-1604-1

The lock on the emergency exit door at the back of the vehicle may not fully engage when the door is slowly closed, because the force of the spring that pushes the lock towards the catch is not sufficient, and also because the resilience force of the weatherstrip is not adequate. If left unfixed, in the worst case, vibration during driving etc. can cause the lock to disengage, in which case the door could open. Note: This problem was reported in RJ-1228-1, submitted on 22nd September 2004, but the vehicles to be recalled were not fully accounted for, so this recall is to rectify the recall list.
