RJ-1813-0

The electrical wiring for the ABS sensor is not properly routed, and therefore, it may interfere with the brake air pipe. If this problem is left unattended, the air pipe may become damaged and allow air to escape, and in the worst case, the wheel park (parking brake) may be actuated while the vehicle is in motion, and this could cause the vehicle to stall or the braking efficiency to decrease.

Case Number:
RJ-1813-0

Make/model:

Issued:
Tue, 2007-02-06
Component:
brake (brake air pipe)
Affected:
676
Correction:
The routing of the electrical wiring for the ABS sensor should be changed to ensure adequate space from the air pipe. Also, if there is a mark of interference on the air pipe, that section should be removed and repaired with a new pipe and joint fittings.
