The wiring harness of the airbag inflator inside the steering wheel may chafe against the steering wheel bracket and get damaged, because it is improperly routed. If this problem is left unattended, an electrical short may occur causing the warning light to illuminate, and in the worst case, the airbag could unexpectedly deploy when the ignition switch is turned on.

Correction: 
The protector should be installed on the steering wheel bracket to protect the wiring. Also, the wiring should be inspected, and if it is damaged, it should be replaced with a new one.
