For vehicles with spring type parking brake, water may get into the inside of the brake chamber or the wheel cylinder due to inadequate application of sealant on the joint between them. If left unfixed, the inside of the wheel cylinder and the wedge could get damaged due to corrosion, or the parking brake may fail to function because the water gets frozen in winter.
