RJ-1060-1

On certain vehicles, the automatic tensioner that maintains tension of the engine timing belt does not have sufficient vibration-absorbing power. If left unfixed, the external spring of the automatic tensioner may break causing the timing belt to slack, and in the worst case, the engine could stall. Note: This recall is for the vehicles that were installed inappropriate auto tensioners as a factory approved replacement of the past recall (case number RJ-0537-0, submitted on 1 October 1998).

RJ-0639-0

On certain vehicles, the automatic tensioner that maintains tension of the engine timing belt does not have sufficient vibration-absorbing power. If left unfixed, the external spring of the automatic tensioner may break causing the timing belt to slack, and in the worst case, the engine could stall.

RJ-0716-0

The engine timing belt does not have sufficient strength and its teeth can be damaged or stripped, and in the worst case, the engine stops and will not restart.

RJ-0435-0

For the driver and passenger doors, repeating forceful operations of the door handle (made of resin) at high ambient temperature can break the attachment part of the door handle release rod, which releases the door latch. If this happens, the release rod comes off, and it becomes impossible to open the door from the outside. In such a case, if the release rod falls towards the passenger compartment, in the worst case, winding down the glass with the door unlocked could cause the door to open.

RJ-0480-0

On certain vehicles, rust-proofing paint is not properly applied on the coil springs around the front shock absorber struts. If left unfixed, rust can occur, and in the worst case, the coil springs could break, which results in loss of vehicle stability.
