On certain vehicles, there may be cleaning liquid residue left between the connecting rod bolts and the holes, due to improper procedure in removing the cleaning liquid at the time of installing the connecting rods, and therefore, the surfaces of the bolts may corrode. If this problem is left unattended, small cracks may occur in the bolts, and in the worst cases, the bolts could break, causing the vehicle to stall. (This applies to L type diesel engine vehicles.)

On certain vehicles, the welding of the bracket (the right side one of the two) that braces the steering rack on the crossmember in the steering unit is improper. For this reason, frequent dry steering (the practice of turning the wheels of the vehicle without the vehicle moving) may damage the welded part. If this happens, it could cause abnormal noises and increase steering wheel play, in the worst case resulting in unreliable steering control.
