For the front seats, the side plastic covers may not have sufficient strength, due to inappropriate material. Therefore, if the seat belt hits the cover strongly, the cover may break, and in the worst case, the seat belt might be cut by the ruptured surface and fail to restrain the passenger.

This recall is about the reverse light switch installed on a lower part of the manual transmission, and it only applies to vehicles with manual transmission. (1) It may not be sufficiently sealed due to burrs left from molding the switch axis. Therefore, lubricant inside the transmission may enter into the switch, which could cause the resistance between the contact points to increase, and in the worst case, the reverse lights could fail. (2) It might have deformed, which could result in the lack of contact pressure between the contact points, due to improper installation at factory.

On certain vehicles, the (return) hydraulic rubber hose for the power steering unit does not have sufficient durability due to manufacturing defect. If this problem is left unattended, the internal rubber surface of the hose may break away, and at worst, the peeled rubber piece could block the hydraulic passage causing the hydraulic pressure to drop, in which case steering becomes heavier.
