On certain vehicles, the tightening of the bolt securing the crank pulley on the crankshaft is insufficient due to insufficient lubricant applied to the bolt. If left unfixed, this may cause abnormal noises. At worst, this can lead to that the crank pulley for the engine auxiliary devices fails to convey the power, which causes the alternator to stop working resulting in illumination of the charge warning light, and the power steering hydraulic pump to stop functioning resulting in heavier steering.
