The structure of the attachment securing the heat shield to the muffler is improper. If left unfixed, the attachment may get damaged due to the vibration caused by exhaust gas pressure. This may cause exhaust gas leakage, and the nylon tube for the parking brake release air may fuse due to exhaust heat. At worst, the lack of brake air pressure activates the emergency brake.

Both the muffler and the heat shield should be replaced with the factory approved replacement unit.
