For vehicles with the spring type parking brake, on some of them, the heat treatment of the roller, which is located on the edge of the wedge rod and presses brake shoe, is inadequate. Because of this, the roller may prematurely get damaged, and in the worst case, the parking brake fails to function resulting in reduced parking brake efficiency.

Correction:
The parking brake wedge rod assemblies should be replaced with non-defective items. Furthermore, because it will take time to supply all of the factory approved replacement parts, for the time being, the parking brake should be inspected for its operation, and if it does not function properly, it should be replaced with a non-defective item, otherwise, it should be replaced at later date.
Identification:
(1) Blue sticker with a diameter of 9mm on the specified spot(*), for installing the factory approved replacement part. If there is a yellow sticker for the inspection, it should be removed. (2) Yellow sticker with a diameter of 9mm on the specified spot(*), for the brake inspection only. *: For buses, on the back of the water lid located at the right rear of the vehicle body. For trucks, below the striker on the passenger door rear pillar.
