For the light switch, on certain vehicles, (1) the wiring is not properly installed, and repeated operations of the direction indicator lever can cause the wires to break off at the connector or the wires to interfere with the lever cover and be disconnected, in either case, the headlights, the width indicators and/or the fog lights could fail. (2) plating on the contact point is inadequate, and repeated operations of the direction indicator lever can cause the contact point to wear excessively, and powder from wear may cause a short circuit, in which case the direction indicator remains flashing.
