On certain vehicles, the wire harness in the boot is severely bent beside the harness clip due to the inadequate protective measure, and opening and closing the boot lid repeatedly can damage the protective tape for the harness. If the damage is left unfixed, it can cause the wires to break, in which case, the number plate lights, the reversing lights, and the tail lights could fail.

Correction: 
The protective tape for the harness should be inspected, and if it is damaged, the wiring should be replaced with the factory approved replacement unit, and otherwise, the resin protective tube should be installed.
