For vehicles with auto cruise system, the auto cruise cable may become dislodged out of the groove of the auto cruise lever when the accelerator pedal is depressed, because the hook, which is to prevent the cable from dislodging, does not cover the full width of the groove. If the cable lodges on the hook, the engine revs could remain high even when the accelerator pedal is released.
