High-stress conditions may occur on the brake air pipe due to improper routing, when affected by large vibrations while driving on a rough road etc. If this problem is left unattended, the pipe may crack, allowing air to leak, and in the worst case, the crack could grow and the spring-type parking brake could be activated during driving.
