The parking brake cable end at the centre brake side (the metallic fitting that is fitted at the end of the cable and is to secure the cable on the centre brake lever) can be caught askew at the centre brake lever slit due to improper shape. If this problem left unattended, the end of the cable may bend and break from fatigue, and in the worst case, it could become impossible to obtain effective stopping power when parking. Note: This problem was reported in RJ-1258-0, submitted on 7th October 2004, but the vehicles to be recalled were not correctly accounted for, so this recall is to add some vehicles to the recall list.
