For the snap ring that is to secure the differential side gear inside the transmission and the left front drive shaft together, it may not have sufficient overlapping over the differential side gear due to improper shape. If this problem is left unattended, the snap ring may lose some holding power during high speed driving. Interlocking between the gear and the shaft may be lost, such as when the vehicle bounces, and this could in the worst case cause the vehicle to stall, as no driving force would be transmitted to the tyre. Note: This problem was mentioned in RJ-1486-0 submitted on 21st July 2005, but some vehicles that were not subject to that recall have been found to have the same problem, and therefore, this recall is to list additional vehicles.
