On certain vehicles, the striker attached to the bonnet, which is a part of the bonnet locking system, is not properly welded, and therefore, the welded section may partly come off. If this problem is left unattended, the striker could separate from the bonnet, in which case the bonnet could open while the vehicle is in motion.

For the resin-made bonnet (MAZDA speed aero bonnet) sold as an aftermarket supply, the structure of the lock striker is improper, and therefore, the welded part of the striker can be damaged, and in the worst case, the bonnet could open while the vehicle is in motion and break the front glass.

For the air spoiler sold as an optional part from the dealer, it can be fitted protruding the rear bumper due to the inappropriate shape, not complying with the safety standard.
