For inter differential case (for front side driving axle) of 6x4 vehicles, (1) On certain vehicles, there is abrasion left on the spline part where the propeller shaft joint is attached because the instruction of the past recall was inadequate, and the castle nut can become loose. (2) The threads on the part where the castle nut for the propeller shaft joint goes in can break due to insufficient strength, when the angle of the propeller shaft increases and large stress is put on the threaded part. As a result of (1) and/or (2), if the vehicle continues to be driven, the joint may come out, and in the worst case, the propeller shaft could fall, causing the vehicle to stall. This recall is to override the past recall (case number RJ-0649-0), which was submitted on 26th July 2000 and was inappropriate.
