The cage of the needle roller bearing that supports the third gear in the transmission may deform or break from the load by the third gear due to the lack of strength. If this problem is left unattended, the shift can malfunction and make abnormal noises, and in the worst case the bearing could burn out causing the vehicle to stall.

Correction: 
The bearing for the third gear should be replaced with the factory approved replacement unit, and the bearing for other gears should be inspected and the ones with abnormality should be replaced with the factory approved replacement units. Alternatively, the transmission assembly should be replaced with the one that includes the factory approved replacement bearings.
