The government’s announcement that it will lower the blood alcohol limit for all drivers is a welcome start, but doesn’t go far enough, says the car review website dogandlemon.com. Editor Clive Matthew-Wilson, who is an active road safety campaigner, says:
“Research shows that lowering the amount of alcohol that a person can legally drink before driving, reduces crashes.”
However, says Matthew-Wilson, the main benefit of this legislation will be to end the habit of drivers having ‘a few drinks after work.’
