On certain vehicles, the nut securing the pulley for the power steering hydraulic pump may loosen due to lack of torque, and/or the pulley may develop cracks due to lack of strength. If these problems are left unattended, abnormal noise may be generated, and in the worst case, the pulley could break or come off the pump, in which case, steering could becomes heavier.

For the belt tensioner, which maintains tension of the belt for the engine auxiliary devices, on certain vehicles, the caulking of the belt tensioner axle is not sufficient, and the belt tensioner may separate from the attachment part. If this happens, the belt can come off, causing the alternator and the hydraulic pump for power steering to stop working, which results in the illumination of the charge warning light and in heavier steering.

On certain vehicles, the diaphragm in the vacuum brake booster is caught in the booster casing. If left unfixed, the diaphragm can be damaged through repeated braking operation, which could result in reduced brake efficiency.

On certain vehicles, there is oil on the dimple of the brake pedal bracket, left from press-manufacturing the bracket. If this problem is left unattended, the oil may enter the contact point of the brake lights switch and carbonize disturbing electrical continuity, which could cause the brake lights to fail and make it impossible to release the A/T shift lock.

For the driver and passenger seat belts, the structure inside the belt buckle covers is improper, and therefore, the posts inside the covers (to suppress noise while the seat belts are worn) can break from repeated bending of the section between the buckles and the cable guides, and a broken piece may be stuck in the lock mechanism. If this occurs, the lock mechanism may fail to work properly, and in which case, it could become impossible to engage the lock, or minor load such as a slight movement of the occupant could release the lock.
