(1) On certain vehicles with manual transmission, the resin bush between the gear shift control joint and the arm does not have an appropriate shape, and therefore, the torque of the two securing nuts may not be sufficient. If this problem is left unattended, the nuts may come off, and in the worst case, the shaft could separate from the shift lever, which would make it impossible to change the gear ratio.

The oil strainer does not have sufficient capacity, and therefore it may become clogged with abrasion powder from clutch plates. As a result, (1) oil pressure may become too low, and if the vehicle continues to be driven in such a condition, it could stall, or (2) oil pressure may fluctuate too much, causing the bracket of the shift solenoid (No.1) inside the automatic transmission to break, which could lead to acceleration malfunction or reversing failure due to lack of oil pressure for the front clutch.

On certain vehicles with manual transmission, there is grease left on the hole for the gear shift arm bolt because of the improper grease removal operation at the time of securing the shift lever, and the effectiveness of the locking fluid is lost. If this problem is left unattended, in the worst case, the bolt could become loose and fall out, making the shift operation impossible.
